It’s become clear that the food delivered for the sugar detox has changed over time. The previous time I used Wholesome2Go for this weight-loss program, I remember (I don’t blame you if you don’t trust my memory, I don’t either… I checked the annotated menu printouts which I kept thinking I would blog about my experience) that only two meals out of the 3 x 14 (excluding the snacks) were “sub-par”. This time around, I’ve had a few in just six days.
Breakfast – Black Bean Bell Pepper Frittata, was good (although I almost burned it while heating it in the oven… mommy brains). Lunch – Unlikely Apple Chicken Salad with Coconut Bacon, was indeed unlikely; it was the bitterness of the dressing that ruined the salad. Snacks were yum! Thai Green Curry Chicken and French Lentil Salad.
When I placed the dinner dish on the plate – Mediterranean Fish with Butternut Squash, the pavlovian reaction was instantly triggered and there I was drooling while the food was in the oven. Unfortunately, the taste did not live up to my expectations. There was some mint mingled with the veggies and I did not care much for that particular combo of flavors.
I stopped mentioning my weight; for good reasons. I forgot to weigh myself on the third day, and then I was surprised to see that there was absolutely no weight change – 135.6 lbs every single morning. I hope I’ll lose at least the .6 lbs by Wednesday.
